The Committee approve the University's resolution

to suspend degree courses in Mechanical and Electrical

Engineering and to offer instead one or two scholarships

authoritative request is received from China for the train-

ing of men in such work, for the purpose of reconstruction

when the present war is over.

a status as would help towards the appointment of Hong Kong

Engineering graduates in China itself.
